The joys of being a hometown Oregon Maternity Photographer are ENDLESS. Seriously, knowing and using all the outdoor spaces that I loved growing up to bless my clients is *chefs kiss* beautiful.

The best part though – is serving my childhood friends as clients.
Kenndra and I didn’t go to the same school growing up; in fact we went to rival schools about twenty miles apart. And if you live in any sort of rural part of America, you know the rivals can run THICK. But we werent playing football or anything, obvi! we were barrel racers, and ropers, on occasion. And things are a little different in that space. We competed against each other from the ages of 8 to 18; now we’re a decade out of our illustrious rodeo careers and both raising two sweet baby girls.
Kenndra reached out to me on social media in this first year of business as a Family Photographer and decided to schedule a maternity photography session to celebrate the arrival of her new baby girl; Sage. I know; freaking adorable right!?
I was so incredibly thrilled, no greater honor to my creative heart & small town business than to be hired by long time friends. Their session date came along….

And not only did I wreck my dirtbike the day before….. but there were also thunderstorms literally raining on our parade. Totally bummed but I reached out to see if they wanted to reschedule. Bless their adventurous hearts…. we were still on!
We got to the beautiful location, & not twenty minutes in, the sky cleared and we were blessed with the sweetest orange sunset. Kenndra even told me they flipped a coin three times to decide if they should reschedule. Everytime the coin determined they should… but she just had a gut feeling it was the day to get it done. I’m so glad she followed it!
If you’re an expectant mama in the Central Oregon area; and you’re ready to dive right in to treating yourself with a session like this one, head to my Fall Schedule and snag yourself a slot. If you need a litttttlllle bit more info; never fear, I got ya covered there too. 🙂
