Catching up with old friends is the golden nugget of being a Family Photographer
The world is so much smaller than I can even comprehend sometimes. My favorite part of my job as an Oregon Family Photographer is making connections with friends both old and new. One of my childhood friends that I played soccer with for years and years reached out to me last fall to support my small business. Like WHAAAAT! I hadn’t seen Lauren in easily a decade, despite going to the same University we just didn’t cross paths. We both brought our husband’s back to our home town; and now we both run our own business. Small small word for sure!
Lauren and her husband Cody had just welcomed their first child; Lauren’s parents first grandchild. Naturally grandma wanted to get the family together to document the sweetest growth. This is a really special snippet in my business as an Oregon Family Photographer. Getting to capture a family all together for the first time in ages, knowing it may not happen again for awhile; its humbled and incredibly sweet.
This family nailed their family photography session styling
This family absolutely nailed their outfit styling for the season AND for a cohesive session; I was so impressed and it really did have such an impact on the look and feel of their final photos. I hate to admit they didn’t even need my help! Lauren simply chose a color scheme and sent it out to the whole fam and said choose any outfit with these colors and they nailed.
Despite nearly freezing our butts off this session went off without a hitch! sweet baby Ahri snoozed the whole time, and the overcast lighting was “chef’s kiss” DREAMY. The color scheme they chose paired magically with the blues and greys in the lake and really made them POP.
