Theres no greater compliment as a family photographer than families coming back year after year; except maybe becoming BFF’s with those clients, too! Mallory first hired me for her family photos back when I was still working full time, living in a trailer with my two kids, trying to get my business off the ground, and well basically just getting by! She immediately became such a light in my life as a friend and a client. She referred multiple other wonderful families and was one of those first clients that made me feel like, yes! I am a “real” family photographer and business owner! Since her very first family photos with me Mallory has given me so much creative freedom and let me tell ya; that is a photographers dream! I LOVE hearing clients share their vision and work to achieve that together and I also love when they just say, “whatever you think!”
For their 2023 family photos we shot at Sparks Lake, Bend Oregon for my first time ever! we even braved a wild fire warning! you can check out that Blog post HERE! and for this year’s family photos we tried another brand new spot for me; Hollinshead Park in Bend, Oregon. We were 100% thinking we would be getting there in the right window for all the trees to have spring blossoms… but unfortunately missed it by about a week! (If thats your vibe, remind me it has to be the FIRST week of May!) but the barn made for such a pretty backdrop and an total change of scenery from their last few sessions. Hollinshead also has a beautiful big grassy area that we let the girls roam wild in and of coarse lots of dandelions for wishes!
I cannot wait to continue to watch this sweet family grown and change over the years… dare I say Mila may be my first Senior Portrait who also had family photos with me as a kiddo!
