“How do you feel about coming to lake Tahoe for a camping trip and also shooting a super fun anniversary session?” Does everyone have amazing friends like that or is it just me?! GAHH! seriously, this sweet family have supported my business since literally day one & has never stopped. So, of course I said yes, what else was I gonna say!?
Back in time to Lake Tahoe, California 15 years ago
To rewind a bit; Lake Tahoe is a super special spot for this couple, they celebrated their honeymoon their 15 YEARS ago! So it was a no brainer to head back to commemorate this huge milestone.
I could not be more ecstatic with how this session turned out – the odds were absolutely stacked against us! But, they make for a pretty funny story now!
The iconic beach we wanted to go too, Sand Harbor; was outrageously busy.
Its honestly a miracle there aren’t 500 paddle boarders in every single shot.
The glaring direct sun was a epic for a sunbathing, not ideal for a photography session
We had planned to be at the location about an hour earlier than we ended up getting there…. in the morning… which resulted in some glaring sunshine instead of awesome diffused sunrise rays. queue immediate, sweaty, stress. BUT, we found some pockets of shade near these amazing granite rocks and were able to adjust the rest of the prompts & it worked out brilliantly.
& the best part of this whole session… was that we got to head to the beach for a full day of fun in the sun afterwards!
