The sweetest greeting I’ve ever experienced at a family photography session!
This Shevlin Park Family Photography Session was an absolute dream! The lighting was on point, we had the park all to ourselves, AND; this family absolutely rocked it and were so sweet. I walked up to the Coffey family car to introduce myself while they were getting Mila & Drew untangled from their car seats; a tiny chubby little hand thrust out from under her arms and the sweetest little voice shouted, “hey friend!” My heart MELTED on the spot.
Prepping kiddos for a Family Photography Session
Mila’s mama did a fantastic job of prepping her little one for the session. For a two year old like Mila this looks like discussing the session a couple of times in the days leading up to it. Letting them know they are going to meet a new friend with a camera and she will be taking photos and having fun! Mila was ready to follow the prompts and hang with her new friend!
It was cold out and even snowing a bit but these little ones didn’t miss a beat. They snuggled and laughed and played even as it started to snow!
When we had wrapped up the session little Mila jaunted up to me and threw those same little hands out and said, “hold it!” seriously I had an out of body experience! How can this possibly be what I get to do for a living!
Here’s what I love most about being a family photographer
It is such an honor to me to get to come along side families to celebrate the growth of their babies, the additions to the family, the milestones of what their kiddo can do now that they couldn’t a year ago. I read a quote once that was along the lines of, the most important work you will do in your life is to raise the next generation; and I feel that to be true whole heartedly!
